Obituary - Sylvia McGee. Sylvia McGee, 83, of Cleveland died Monday, Jan. 12, 2009, at Methodist South Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the New Morning Star Church of God in Christ in Cleveland with the Rev. Jerry Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Cemetery in Cleveland.
Visitation will be from 1-6 p.m. Friday at Brinson Funeral Home in Cleveland.
She is survived by five sons, Evage McGee Jr. of Biloxi, James McGee of St. Louis, Dr. Jesse McGee of Memphis, Tenn., Earnest McGee of Cleveland and Dr. Rashad Ali of Sumrall; four daughters, Earline Henderson of Cleveland, Mattie Richardson and Alice J. Hodges, both of Kanka Kee, Ill., and Clara Slay of Cleveland; two sisters, Fammey Hyche and Clara Hardnett, both of Warren Heights, Ohio; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family.
