Interview - Oral History: Florine (Jeannette) Shorter (2008-05-05) (Phone interview with Jeannette Shorter. Her great-grandparents were Charles & Effie Shorter. Her Grandfather was Collins Shorter Sr. She remembers the names of Preston, Velma and Rebecca as Collins siblins. My Records show no listing of a Collins Shorter. Need to find out if Collins was a nickname, or because of his birthday was August 5, 1910 Effie was pregnate with him at the time of the 1910 Census.).
