The church was decorated in shades of coral, peach, and ivory. "Flying without Wings" by Ruben Stoddard was presented for the ceremony. Given in marriage by her grandfather, the bride wore a coral grown adorned at the side with sequined, floral embroidery. The dress faded gradually into a peach-colored, flared skirt with a fishtail hem. Shed carried a round bouquet of coral, peach, and ivory flowers interspersed with greenery. Bridesmaid was Joyce Scott of Vicksburg. She wore a coral gown trimmed in a light-coral, floral print. She carried a kissing ball of coral and ivory flowers.
